Adhering to the philosophy that the simplest solution is the best solution, the Redeslate digital camera slate offers a simple method of keeping track of digital images as they are captured. Using a 3 x 5" retractable, acrylic slate, worn by the photographer, and a fine tipped dry erase marker attached to the back of the slate, photographs can be summarized with a few words of description. This written text is then photographed and stored sequentially on the memory card with the image it describes.
record your specific information

Before taking your photographs, use the Redeslate marker to write down the necessary information to help you remember the purpose, location, or specific notes about the photoshoot. Redeslate's plastic slate is sturdy and easy to write on.

photograph the Redeslate for easy cataloging

Have your camera set on the macro setting for a clear shot of the Redeslate. Make sure the entire written area is in screen and photograph it before you begin your photoshoot. If you're using a flash, tilt the Redeslate slightly to avoid getting a reflective glare on the white surface. Afterward, you can wipe the Redeslate clean with the soft Velcro™ on the marker, reattach the marker, and allow Redeslate to retract to its original position—ready for its next use.

simple organization

When viewing a series of thumbnail images, the Redeslate images stand out as index prints, accelerating workflow. Metadata such as IPTC can be added faster since data recorded with the Redeslate has already been gathered and can be referred to as images are edited.

easy & convenient

Simply clip Redeslate's retractable reel to your belt. The strong clip keeps it tightly fastened, so you don't have to worry about losing it. The Redeslate hangs conveniently at your side until you need it. Redeslate's erasable marker is securely attached to the back of the plate with Velcro™.
